These Homemade Popsicles are sweet, flavorful, and delicious.

Summer is one of my favorite seasons, but not for the reasons you may think. You see, I live in Texas and it is always hot! While many other states get to enjoy four seasons, we are barbecuing on Christmas day. I like to tell people that we have two official seasons here, summer and more summer. I am not complaining by the way. I am merely pointing out what makes Texas unique.

So why do I like summer? You may be asking. Well, it’s simply because all of my favorite fruit is in season. Yes! I love all things fruit and Summer is the perfect opportunity to make popsicles with my favorite fruit. I love using everything from fresh watermelon to peaches, lemons, and strawberries. You gotta cool off some way around here and popsicles are definitely the go-to summer treat no matter where you live.

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU NEED TO MAKE HOMEMADE POPSICLES?

The only equipment you need to make homemade popsicles are a blender, a popsicle mold, and popsicle sticks. Most grocery stores where I live sell very affordable popsicle molds. Some even come with reusable plastic sticks that are dishwasher friendly.

WHAT INGREDIENTS DO YOU USE TO MAKE POPSICLES?

I really love experimenting with different popsicle flavors in the kitchen. The beauty of making homemade popsicles is that you can use whatever you have on hand already! Homemade popsicles can be made with as little as two to three ingredients, allowing you to make use of any leftover fruit in your fridge. Homemade popsicles are also healthier than store-bought ones, which is a bonus if your family has special dietary needs.

This is why I chose to create a variety of flavor combinations for this recipe blog. Yes, these are truly delicious, but I also wanted to demonstrate how easy it is to come up with creative flavors that can be tailored to you and your family.

WATERMELON LEMONADE

I love the watermelon lemonade popsicle flavor because it reminds me of Chick-fil-A’s seasonal Watermelon Mint Lemonade. Yum!

PINEAPPLE MANGO YOGURT POPS

These pops are very healthy, as they have no processed sugar! The only ingredients used here are Greek yogurt, diced mango, pineapple, and honey.

STRAWBERRY KIWI

Kiwi Strawberry is one of my long-time favorite flavor combinations. It’s made with strawberries, kiwi, a little lime juice, and sugar.

COCONUT LIME

The Coconut Lime flavor is definitely one of my favorites. This flavor reminds me of key lime pie. It is not only delicious, but it is extremely easy to make because you don’t even need a blender!
