Ingredients
1 dozen large eggs
1 tsp salt – optional
Directions
- Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water
 - Add 1 tsp of salt and bring to a boil
 - Once water comes to a boil, remove the pan from heat and cover the saucepan with a lid.
 - Let stand off of the heat for 20 minutes.
 - Drain immediately and cool the eggs under cold running water or place in ice-water bath
 - Peel and crack the egg shell and serve.

Notes
- For best results, remove eggs from the refrigerator and bring to room temperature 1 hour before cooking.
 - Peel eggs while still warm for easier peeling by holding under running water to help loosen the shell.
 - Use older (not expired) eggs for hard-boiled eggs. Fresher eggs may not be as easier to peel.
