Pan Roasted Brussels Sprouts With Bacon

2 lbs of fresh brussel sprouts, sliced in half
1/2 onion, sliced
3 strips of bacon, diced
2 cloves of garlic, minced
2 tsp olive oil
1 tsp red pepper flakes
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Prepare the brussel sprouts by cleaning them.
- Place the olive oil in a heated skillet, then add the bacon and cook until the bacon is crispy.
- Remove the bacon and place it on a paper towel-lined plate and set aside.
- Add the sliced onions to the skillet, season with salt and pepper. Cook the onions until caramelized.
- Add the Brussels sprouts and crushed red pepper to the skillet, and season lightly with salt and pepper. Cook until the Brussels sprouts are bright green.
- Add in the garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
- Add the crispy garlic back to the skillet and toss well.
- Serve immediately.
