Simply the easiest white chocolate and semi-sweet chocolate bark recipe topped with your favorite Spring or Easter candy and sprinkles.

This is a really simple chocolate bark recipe, 3 ingredients, and no stove required! This is definitely something really fun to do with the kids as an Easter/Spring activity. Bonus: you get to eat it!

HOW TO CHOCOLATE BUNNY BARK

Start by lining a 9-inch baking dish with parchment paper and set aside.

Gather the semi-sweet chocolate and begin melting it. You can do this on the stovetop using a double boiler, or you can simply just place it in the microwave in 30-second increments. Since using a double boiler usually means tempering the chocolate, I say the microwave works easily here.

Remove the chocolate from the microwave and add 1 1/2 teaspoons of coconut oil. The coconut oil will make the chocolate easier to spread in the pan. Any oil will work here, so don’t feel obligated to use coconut oil. I frequently buy most of my items in bulk, so I always have coconut oil in my kitchen.

Place the melted semi-sweet chocolate into the bottom of the baking dish, spreading it evenly. Then, place it in the refrigerator for 15 minutes or until it’s almost set. I usually take a toothpick and place it in the chocolate to check to see how much the chocolate has set. You just don’t want the chocolate to set completely, because your layers will separate when it is time to cut the bark into pieces.

While the semi-sweet chocolate is setting, gather the white chocolate and melt it. Repeat the same steps here, by melting it in 30-second increments, stirring in-between, then adding the oil.

Coloring the chocolate: While the white chocolate is spreadable, remove about 2 tbsps of the white chocolate and place it in a small bowl to color it. Since this is an Easter/Spring-themed bark, any pastel colors will work here!

Remove the sem-sweet chocolate from the refrigerator and place the melted white chocolate directly over it, spreading evenly.

Gather your sprinkles and colored chocolate and Immediately begin decorating the bark. This is a very important step because the chocolate also acts as a glue, keeping the sprinkles in place as it sets. If you wait too long to decorate, and the chocolate begins to set, your sprinkles may fall off!

Once the bark is fully decorated, allow it to set for another 10 to 15 minutes. When the bark is fully set, remove it from the pan and chop it into pieces.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz white chocolate

  • 8 oz dark or semi-sweet chocolate

  • 1 tsp coconut or vegetable oil

  • sprinkles for decorating

  • food coloring for decorating

  • sanding sugar for decorating

Directions

  • Line a 9-inch baking dish with parchment paper and set aside.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl melt the dark chocolate. Remove from the microwave and add 1/2 tsp of the oil. Mix well.
  • Pour the semi-sweet chocolate into the bottom of the baking dish and spread evenly using a knife or an offset spatula. Place the chocolate in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes to allow the chocolate to set.
  • Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Remove from the microwave and add the oil, Mixing well.
  • Once the semi-sweet chocolate is set, pour the white chocolate over the dark chocolate layer and spread evenly.
  • Immediately decorate with sprinkles, then refrigerate for up to one hour.
  • Once the chocolate has set completely and is hardened, remove it from the refrigerator and cut it into pieces.
  • Store in an air-tight container at room temperature in a cool, dry place. Refrigeration may be required in warmer areas.
