Peach puree, brewed black tea, and sugar combine to make the most delicious, and easy Peach Iced Tea recipe you’ll ever make. Once you try this homemade peach iced tea, you will not only love it but will keep coming back for more all summer long.

Another summer is upon us, which means more time at the pool, and the beach, more cookouts, and more time with family and friends out in the sun. With many summer activities happening outside, iced cold drinks are a must to beat the heat. I don’t know what is going on with the summer here lately, but I can’t be caught outside without a pitcher of this iced tea and a few bottles of water. Yes, staying hydrated is a must in the Texas humidity.

My love for peaches goes way back and probably started with my early memories of my mom making her famous peach cobbler. I still talk about this peach cobbler all of the time and I am not the only one. There is just something about the taste of fresh, ripe peaches at the peak of the season that is unmatched. In this recipe, I enjoy adding fresh slices of peaches along with mint leaves into the iced tea glasses. Ahhh So refreshing!

Black Tea – Any brand will do. No need to run out and buy fancy black tea, unless you want to.

Peach Nectar – Fresh peach puree or store-bought peach nectar is what I typically use. If using frozen peaches, allow them to thaw before puréeing.

Sugar – I love using pure cane sugar, but granulated sugar works just fine!

Lemon – The juice of one lemon is added to balance out the sweet and tart flavors making this a very fresh and vibrant sweet tea.

HOW TO MAKE PEACH ICED TEA

Follow these simple steps to make delicious lemonade:

  1. Brew the tea: Bring 5 cups of water to a boil, then add the tea bags and steep for 10 minutes, then add the sugar.
  2. Juice The Lemon – juice the lemon, slice a few extra for garnishing the glasses, and set aside.
  3. Combine – Add the tea, remaining water, lemon juice, and peach puree to a glass pitcher. Mix well to combine. Place the mixture in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to chill.
  4. Serve – Remove the lemonade from the refrigerator and serve over ice.

PRO TIPS FOR MAKING THIS RECIPE

  1. The peaches. Fresh pureed peaches will give this iced tea the most natural flavor. However, if you can’t find fresh peaches, store-bought peach nectar will also work here.
  2. The simple syrup. Allow the simple syrup to cool down completely before adding to the peach tea.
  3. Adjust sugar as needed. Taste as you go. Always be sure to check the amount of sugar and adjust accordingly.
  4. Chill Thoroughly. Allow the iced tea to chill in the refrigerator for at least 2-3 hours minimum. By doing so you will have a perfectly chilled beverage.
