Ya’ll listen…If you have never had a cowboy burger, then you are missing out! Cowboy burgers are just like regular burgers plus the bonus editions of cheddar cheese, bacon, and fried onion rings. My cowboy burger has a delicious bacon jam, because why not? These burgers are so juicy and full of so much darn flavor! Hands down, my favorite go-to burger of all time.

The Ingredients

So what’s in a cowboy burger exactly? Let’s break it down

Bacon – Diced smoked bacon gets mixed into the ground beef patties. This gives the burgers a nice smokey flavor while also adding more flavor to the burgers.

Cheddar Cheese – I use shredded cheddar cheese both inside the patties and on top, Yes, I am extra 🙂

Onion Rings – Thinly Sliced and buttermilk battered yellow onions are deep fried to golden perfection.

Jalapeño – Now for some heat. I use about half of a fresh jalapeño pepper minced for a nice kick.

Chipotle Mayo – Could this burger get any spicer? I make chipotle mayo sauce. I blend together mayo, smoked paprika, a bit of chipotle pepper, garlic and onion powders, and sugar.
