You don’t need any special equipment to make this recipe, nor do you need to spend a lot of time standing over the mixing bowl, mixing and creaming ingredients together. As a matter of fact, I find myself always throwing this recipe together. I literally mean throwing by the way! I just toss all of the ingredients in a bowl, give it a good mix and bake it.

Bananas – About 3 very ripe bananas
All-purpose flour – unbleached, all-purpose flour, but you can also use bread flour here too.

PRO TIPS FOR MAKING THIS RECIPE
- Using room temperature eggs. Make sure that the eggs used are at room temperature before making banana bread.
- Correctly Measure the flour. It’s important to add the correct amount of flour to prevent a dry, crumbly banana bread. If you do not own a kitchen scale, be sure to fluff up the flour in its container, spoon it into the measuring cup, and level the top.
- Swap the nuts. If you’re not a fan of walnuts, swap them for pecans, almonds, or macadamia nuts in this recipe. You could also use candied nuts here or omit the nuts, making this bred nut-free.
- Add Chocolate chips. Try adding a handful of chocolate chips to this recipe for an extra special treat.
- Add sour cream or Greek yogurt. Try Greek yogurt or sour cream for added moisture and to help balance the sweetness of this banana bread.
