This Strawberry lemonade recipe is sweet, tangy and so refreshing. It is easy to make, homemade and you only need a handful of ingredients to put it together and enjoy. If you are looking for a quick and delicious mocktail for all crowds and ages, then you’ll want to try this!

As soon as strawberry season hits, I am on the prowl for the biggest, sweetest, juiciest strawberries. I love strawberries, so I am always excited about strawberry season. Strawberries are one of my favorite fruits and I dedicate a lot of my time to making recipes that contain fresh strawberries as the main ingredient. Some of my favorite strawberry recipes include strawberry pie, chocolate covered strawberries and no churn strawberry shortcake ice cream.

When it comes to making lemonade, let’s just say over the years I have come up with some very on the fly lemonade recipes with whatever ingredients I have in stock. Watermelon lemonade is a good example of this. Since my family loves strawberries more than anything though, strawberry lemonade is always going to be in rotation. Summers here are always really humid, so there is no better time to whip up a batch of homemade lemonade to help cool off.

Strawberry lemonade is one of the easiest things to make, but like any recipe, it’s all about finding the right balance of ingredients that work for you. Some people like their lemonade sweeter, others more on the tart side. My recipe has the perfect balance of sweet and tart and it’s always a hit with everyone!

I’m confident that you will love this strawberry lemonade recipe. If you are looking for more refreshing beverage recipes try my Homemade LemonadeFrozen Watermelon Lemonade, and Strawberry Sweet Tea recipes.

RECIPES TO MAKE WITH STRAWBERRY LEMONADE

If you find yourself asking what to serve with lemonade, I have to ask you…..Are you kidding me!? Strawberry Lemonade goes with any and everything, but if you are looking for some inspiration, try some of these:

STRAWBERRY LEMONADE INGREDIENTS

Jump to the bottom of the recipe card below this post for full ingredient measurements and instructions.

Strawberries – About 2 cups of diced strawberries

Sugar – The sugar is used to make simple syrup

Lemons – I use about 7 lemons or about enough to make about 1 1/4 cups of lemon juice

Mint – I love using a bit of mint in lemonade, but this is optional

HOW TO MAKE STRAWBERRY LEMONADE

  1. Make the simple syrup: Add the water and sugar to a saucepan. Mix well and stir the ingredients until the sugar is dissolved. Turn off the heat, then add the mint and cover with a lid. Allow the mint to remain in the simple syrup until it has cooled.
  2. Puree the strawberries: Add the strawberries to a blender and blend to remove all large chunks. Then, strain the seeds using a mesh strainer.
  3. Mix: Add the strawberry puree, lemon juice, and simple syrup to a pitcher and stir well.
  4. Serve: Add ice and serve with fresh mint leaves and lemon wheels.

STRAWBERRY LEMONADE PRO TIPS

  1. Pulse the strawberries. Place the strawberries in a blender and pulse for a couple of to remove large chunks for a smoother finish to your lemonade.
  2. Use fresh strawberries. Using fresh strawberries at the peak of the season will make the best strawberry lemonade with the most natural strawberry flavor.
  3. Zesting lemons. It is much easier to zest your lemons before juicing them.
  4. The simple syrup. Allow the simple syrup to cool down completely before adding to your lemonade.
  5. To strain or not to strain. I strain most of the seeds from my strawberry puree, but you don’t have to. You can skip this step and move right along. Some folks don’t mind the seeds, so to each his own.
